Transparent and important annoncement
For a year, I have worked full-time as an independent developer and maintainer on TON. I invested my savings and grant into development, infrastructure etc, but I need to be transparent with you and give you advance notice. Even though I am doing everything I can to keep this work running for as long as possible, that funding runway is exhausting and I’ve already started selling off my assets to continue self-funding the runway development and maintenance.
Today, I maintain a complete free and public stack in line with TON’s OG whitepaper:
- Resistance Tools, a user-friendly Telegram Mini App for Web3 on TON
- Tonnet Browser
- Teleton Agent
- Public TON Sites gateways
- Tunnel nodes
- A free TON Storage provider and seeding service
- Permissionless .ton and .t.me subdomain collection factory
- ZKResistor zk privacy pools + public ceremony
• support for tonsites .eth on the official ENS app and more
- The servers, APIs, bridges, relays and monitoring behind these services.
Resistance Tools already deployed 200 tonsites within three weeks of community testing (20% total tonsites online). Tonnet Browser has thousands of downloads, and Teleton Agent receives more than 1000 monthly downloads.
I am now looking for one or several sponsors, or any sustainable funding path to keep maintaining this projects
This support would allow me to keep maintaining this projects and continuing my full-time research and development on TON towards web3 adoption.
I’ve been building and publicly sharing my progress in the group every day for months now, but I’m ready to do this more formally and look into all the necessary requirements to get the funding to continue the development of these public goods.
If I cannot find a solution, I will have no choice to take unrelated full-time work which will significantly reduce the time dedicated to this projects. I will also need to review which hosted services I can keep running. The open-source projects and on-chain contracts will remain, but ongoing research, development, maintenance, support and service availability will with regret inevitably slow down
In that case i'll notice you regarding any potential service shutdowns and whether any action is required for your tonsites, tonbags, subdomains collections, ZK Pools etc
If you, your organization or someone you know may be interested in supporting this work, please contact me. Introductions are also extremely valuable.
I want to continue building for TON and supporting the community. I am simply looking for a sustainable way to keep doing it full-time.
